R.I.P Sashenka

30.08.2005 saw the very first litter of siberians @ Katyenka we were very very excited indeed when Hedwiga gave birth to six lovely bouncy babies. Luckily my sister purchased two of them babies and I have been ever so blessed to watch them both grow into lovely adult sibis. Ivanno the boy died 3 years ago, he managed to chew a wire that still had electric charge, then not long after Sashenka became poorly. We thought it was just her missing her brother. After many vet visits tests etc they diagnosed Sashenka with a failing pancreas. This is not repairable but after her stay in hospital and medication Sashenka was slowly on the mend. The last couple of weeks Sashenka was slowy getting worse and we feared it was time for her. Over the last few days she stopped eating and became stressed, this afternoon she now rests in peace and is playing with her brother again. It is indeed a sad day but I hope both my babies are together playing in the warm sun.

While everything is nice & quiet at the moment here @ Katyenka I have decided to try & get some updated pictures of everyone. This is a slow process, but its nice to see some of the older faces now & again. Elisaveta our home grown girl will be 5 in January & she is retiring from breeding after her last litter. This is a little sad for me as she was such a special girl & loves being a mommy & she is also my last big tie to Zigwans Chula her daddy, whom she is so much alike in looks. Elisa produced some stunning babies : Kace who lives with Leah. Sasha who lives with our good friend Jackie & Sevastian who lives with Sue & James also Roxy who has returned home.

Taurus Oblachko will have two more litters then she will be retiring from breeding as she will also be 5 next year. Precious also loves having babies & has produced me the lovely Rasputin who lives with Denise, Roman who lives with Yvonne & Annie our white girl who is just a little prioncess in training.

Annie our precious last gift from Imir is doing really well, we are not surprised how big she is as her daddy was weighing in at 8.4 kg. She was bigger then her two bothers all the way & she is nearly as big as fussy. her weight is nearly 3 kg at only 4 months old. She reminds me of her daddy in so many ways. We were so glad we kept a girl after we were going to close the white line down altogether.

Annie is sweet & gentle in nature just like her daddy & we simply cannot wait to get her out on the show bench the back end of the year :)

The Underworld Litter

Well it's that time., theese are the last pictures of my babies before they leave thier nest for the big world ahead. Its so nice when it gets to the time of the kittens going to thier new homes but it also a very anxious time for me. Even after 7 years I get worried have I made the right choice will they have a great long life, & will the new owners love thier new furry baby as much as I do.

For now Seline will stay with us unless a breed/show home pops up we have a few enquiries so who knows, & if she doesnt leave its not a great loss just be more of a tight squeeze when the newbies show up lol .

We havent posted in such a while it has been so so busy here with three litters now left out of four. It is not something that will be repeated again (trust me ) it has been very very hard work & they are eating me out of house & home lol
The Underworld litter have been for their first vaccination & were all given a clean bill of health & the vets were very happy with them. Only a short 3 weeks to go until they arrive at their new homes.

The Vampire Diaries litter are fabulous I am so very very pleased with how they have progressed, I have to admitt they do hate being in the kitten pen area, as they can see the bigger guys running around playing they want to be out & about as much as possible. Mommy is doing a great job with them being her second litter. I am hoping to have her some time off breeding & enter her on the show bench after xmas :)

The True Blood litter is not as fast progressing as the Vampire Diaries but I am not surprised with mommy having 9 of them to deal with. At the moment we are having to help with bathing them & constant litter training with them as mommy is finding it difficult keeping control of 9. They are weaned alredy that didnt take much at all, just got to master the potty training lol. Everybody is looking good I must say, so that is a bonus..........

I have to say I am not looking forward to the next 3 weeks when I have 13 little scamps & two bigger scamps running around the house up & down the stairs chuckle chuckle lord help me what have I done lol :):):)

Breeding will now be put on hold as the cattery is on its final move back to Kent in September where we will be able to get back on the show bench again yipeee. Also we will be much closer for the collection of our new arrival :):) exciting news indeed.

True Blood litter

The true blood litter was inspired just as the new season 4 is just about to air on TV. I thought as this is the biggest litter we have had, we were able to use most of the main charachters. They are also a week old now & I am only topping up one kitten who is a little smaller then the others so she is struggling to fight them off for milk bar. I am so proud of mommy who is coping really well with them & so I managed to sneak some pictures with a helping hand to remember who I had taken & who was left :)

There just happened to be 5 little kitties in this litter after I finished reading all the Vampire Diaries books. So I was one short & didnt know who to choose between Stefan & Damon but I couldnt resist the dark side of Damon :)

The babies are now 6 weeks old they have grown so so much but they still look so small with us having kittens that are 11 weeks old in the house. We only have Amelia available to a show breeding home. I have decided to keep Seline here @ Katyenka. Amelia is so so adorable & if you love the blues then she will be an asset for someone. Lycan will go to live with George with Donna they are going to be so spolied. Viktor has a new family waiting & Sonja is going to a new family down south.

Well the Being Human litter are 11 weeks old tomorrow so here are a few pictures of them getting into mischief. George is known for for walking around mewing I can always tell where he is lol. He just craves attention. Micth is a tearaway boy does he like to get into as much trouble as possible, he never sits still for more then a few seconds. Annie is a lovely girl who will take down the boys anytime, she is a little bigger then them both, but she has been since birth.

Gosh its been a busy few days here @ katyenka with two new mommys giving birth within a day of eacother. Rossity Slava aka Boo has given birth to 5 healthy babies 3 are brown girls, one brown boy & one solid black girl. They are lovely big babies & doing very well on day 3.
Katyenka Elisa has given birth to an astounding 9 babies, we just couldnt believe it. Because this is a huge litter they were not big babies so I am supplement feeding through the day to help them along the way for a few weeks. I havent yet sexed everybody but we have one blue one blue with white & possibly three brown tabbys & four high whites. Pictures will follow later in a week or two time :)

We are currently under the process of planning our new summer house cattery, as we will have four new additions to the cattery this year & one new boy who will be joining us next year (this we are keeping a secret as they have never imported any cats into the UK yet ! ) we needed to expand our outdoor cattery. This is all very exciting indeed. We have been breeding for 6 years now & we are very very pleased to finally see the hard work & dedication finally coming together. I remember when I first started & breeders told me it takes around 4-5 years before you get settled & you get established, & now I am at the point I am all that & I can now finally appreciate what they were telling me. This is something you can not rush either. I feel that in my 6 years I have come across most problems that occur in breeding, the good, bad & the ugly. Its been a LONG road very eventful at times sad & lonely & even sometimes damn right unbearable, BUT we have pulled through & come out smiling. We have been blessed with some amazing kitten owners & a few breeder friends also. The kittens have been the best part of it even when I thought I couldnt smile anymore, they brighten up every part of you with their unconditional love. We have seen many people through the doors with the pain of the loss of thier last beloved cat then watch the smile on thier face when they have chosen thier new baby to take home. Or even the worst of allergy sufferer walk out the door with their new family member in awe that they have a cat in their home. In around 15 days will see the next two litter born. This will be the last for this year 2011, but oh boy 2012 is going to be exciting times ahead :) watch this space !!!!

Gosh we can hardly believe theese guys are now 4.5 weeks old. We have managed to get them all to eat their wet food & toilet training is all achived. We are really proud of new mommy Dramatica aka Fussy. She has done an excellent job with all 6 & we have some lovely babies. We have not decided which girl will stay with us between Amelia & Seline. We have had abundance of callers so far only leaving 3 looking for thier new homes . Viktor is very promising & we would love to place him in a show breeding home.

Time has flown by us so quickly here the last few weeks & theese guys are now getting ready for their first trip to the vets tomorrow as they are now 9 weeks old & it's their very first injections & Annie & George are going to be BAER tested. Baer testing is very important when you breed solid white cats & we test our cats to ensure we are still moving down the right path with our breeding programme. In 4 years we have NEVER had a death kitten & we pride ourself knowing this. Mitch & George have both found thier forever loving homes we are pleased to say & Annie will of course be staying with us. It is always sad when the first vert trip arrives as the last few weeks move so quickly to t hem leaving home. It will be nice we will have one baby stay with us, so that makes things much easier to bear. And of course we do have the Underworld litter :)

We have called the Dramatica & Brutus The Underworld litter its my all time favourite vampire film. They are all becoming a little playful when I pet them. We have two blues one who is blue but she is turning brown like our little Candy-Cane did & three silver blacks............We are going to keep a girl so we are not sure between Amelia & Seline the girl who will turn brown. Well the guys are 7 weeks old & growing up too fast for my liking. We only have George our white male still looking for his furrever new home. George is a lovely boy he is a little more reserved for now but this will all change when he leaves home & finds himself.

The Being Human litter are 5 weeks old today & they are just loving thier new found freedom. For anyone who has seen the series they will know George is the most vocal of the three & that holds true with our little George, he just stands & screams at you for attention he is so cute. Annie is a little brave heart she tears around the kitchen exploring & investigating every nook & cranny Mitch what can I say about this guy he is just the fearmanator, he bites & nips & claws into everyone who gets in his way he fears no human or cat lol

Today finally saw the arrival of our very special Rembo babies !!!
We have been planning this for so so long now & to finally see it happen we are very very excited. Ever since we saw the amazing pictures of Rembo we were very awe struck with him & I had the pleassure to own one of his lines with Brutus when he arrived from Norway. Brutus is improving better with age & we were delighted when we found Dramatica another one of Rembos lines. Now we have finally managed to double this line we are keeping fingers crossed this mating will be very special indeed. Mommy delivered so quick they were nearly dropping out two at a time so I havent managed to get much of a look at them & do not want to disturb her too much as she is a first time mommy & I dont want her to feel worried at all.
So we are very proud to announce the safe arrival of our Underworld litter today 3 lovely blues & 3 lovely brown/black ( we will confirm colours later ) :)

The guys are getting big now & are playing with thier own paws cleaning & nibbling eachother as well as mommy from time to time. They have slowed down on their weight gain as they are more active day to day & they are recognising when I talk to them now as well...........
They are all just super adorable I dont know how I am going to part with any of theese guys at all. I have decided Annie will be staying with us but not sure on Mitch yet, my heart says keep him but my head says NO !!!

We have finally taken some pictures of the latest kittems here @ Katyenka. We had three very chubby little babies & we have some pictures to share with you. Momma Precious is doing very well with them & they are just starting to open thier eyes. We do not know what we are doing with the kittens as of yet as they are the last of Imirs babies so we may just have to keep one or two :) who knows !

A very sad sad day

It is a very sad & solemn day today here, we are very sad to report the loss of our special boy Katyenka Imir at only 2 1/2 years old. This has come with great shock as he was in full health & happy normal self when I was last in the cattery & before we went to bed. I think you can slowly come to terms when you are loosing someone so special with illness or old age but to have them ripped away from you so suddenly & so quickly the shock & grief is unbearable. I only hope we get some light on what has happened to our baby boy ........................He was very special & touched the heart of almost everone who cam into contact with him, he was such a loveaball & wanted nothing more then to be cuddled up on your lap in a ball purring away.

I will never get over loosing him he was very dear to me & I do hope that there is truth that one day we will meet again.

Finally after such a long long wait we have managed to get Dramatica home, it was a long day yesterday we delivered three kittens to their new homes & mommy & daddy's. Then we made the very slow painful journey to Hathrow, the traffic was horrific & we didnt think we were going to make it in time to collect her last night. Finally we got a break in the traffic & we made it just in time to collect her. She is ever so friendly & has been getting to know her her new home today. We have had cuddle time & play time so I am sure soon it will be snooze time :)
We were hoping to get Dramatica out on the show bench before she started breeding but she is in full heat & calling hard so we will be mating her as soon as possible. I just wanted to also say she has amazing ear tips :) & a big fluffy tail :)

Well after we have a very busy show weekend this weekend when we attend the Elsecar show with our big boy Brutus we will driving to Heathrow to collect our new furry bundle Dramatica. Finally she touches down on British soil Monday, we are so so excited to have our orange eye beauty home at last. Its such a long long time to wait, but patience & time pays off & the special time arrives :)
We will of course update about the show with Brutus & the new pictures of Dramatica at home early Tuesday.

We are very happy to announce the preganacy of our special couple Katyenka Imir & Taurus Oblachko. We have been trying to mate this pair for around a year now, but they just did not like eachother in the slightest. So we are very very proud to say that if you keep at it in the end it can all work out. We will be awaiting patiently for the babies to arrive, I only get one month peace & rest before the next Katyenka babies will arrive :)

Milo is grwoing & growing his is going to be a large boy we reckon. He is now 9 months old & weighed in at 4.9 kg . He loves his grooming day & when he can come inside to play around with the other babies & toys. His coat is superb & he is just a su per boy just like his daddy we think.

Monday is the boys day, they come in from the cattery & spend a long time being groomed & cleaned & petted. They love thier monday, we do groom them on other days but MOndays we take as long as they can stand being inside. At the moment Imir has alot of wooly undercoat coming out so we are trying to get as much of that out as possible for him. We also weighed him & we couldnt believe our eyes when he tipped the scales at a whopping 8.2 kg. He truely is my big white prince. With his piercing green eyes & loving nature what is not to love about this boy.......ow & he is a stunning sibi in every way possible.

We are getting so excited & can not wait to meet our new arrival she is very very pretty & the most stunning eyes. Yes you may have guessed it but in just over a fortnight we will have Dramatica in our ams & on English turf.
It takes so long for both breeder & new owner when you deal with pets passport & most breeders in the UK have now imported a cat, know how this feels. So when it all comes to an end you are left feeling very grateful that someone has had the time & effort into helping this all come together. I first met Siv several years ago when I sent over a little precious bundle Katyenka Efrem & never in my wildest dreams thought it would end with recieving a lovely girl like Dramatica. Dramatica is from Rembo lines & we are hoping great things with our two Norwegian beauties. Both Brutus & Dramatica will be mated later in the year when have taken Dramatica to a few shows while she has her winter coat from Norway. It has taken Brustus 2 years to get a winter coat here after living in Norway. Brutus is starting to develop nicely now so fingers crossed we will replicate another little Rembo ( or maybe not so little ) :)

Well the boys are just as as cute so here they are .....so far we are very fond of Winter he is showing great promise & superb purrsonality. He loves to watch the washing machine & he even talks to it when it switched on swirling round & round so funny. We are trying to get some pictures of the babies today & as there are 13 of the little scamps it will be an all day project. Not only because there are so many of them but because I have to wait until they are awake. The babies are now 5 weeks old & growing nicely. They are all weaned now & using the litter tray nicely. Mums are starting to get a little nervous as they are running around & getting into lots of mischief. Its really nice to see thier individual purrsonality coming out, we really do have some cheeky scamps this time :)

I thought I would post something as we havent for some days now.
We hope everybody had a lovely Christmas & now its time to start the New year enjoy sensibly & I hope you all have a good one.
The babies are 4 1/2 weeks old now & all 13 are doing very well, we are slowly introducing meat to them some are going well but others are not so keen yet. There are a few who have great big lungs on them & scream & scream for attention now, so funny. We think we have got silvers & blue silvers in Slavas litter three are just too dark to be silvers.
We are hoping to get the first pictures out after the new year for you this will be fun ahaha :)

Both litters as from tomorrow are 1 weeks old & we would just like to say that all is well. Both mommy are doing a brilliant job considering how cold it is, with a little help from heated mats mind.
The babies have all got nice round full bellies & both mommies are looking good.
Everyone has gained good weights we are reaching the 200g mark with everybody considering they are both big litters.
We are hoping to get pictures in the next 2 weeks time, by this time we should have correct coat colours & sex of all kittens. Plus I should be ok to handle them without stressing mommys out at all .

We would like to welcome to the world our second Christmas litter today. Seven new little ones were safely delivered. We will of course update you all & get pictures in a few weeks time when both mommys are happy & settled with their new arrivals.
So far in colours we have : two whites & five high whites from mommy no 2
mommy no 1 we have two classic two spotted & two tabbys colours to be confimed at a later date as we a re not sure if they are browns or silvers yet.

We are very very happy to announce the arrival of Slava & Brutus Babies last night.

This is her first litter & we were very anxious hoping everything would be ok for her & she would be a good mommy. As with most sibi's she took to it like she was an expert & she delivered 7 healthy babies.

I think we have a lovely mix of classic & spotted & mctabbys

Colour wise I am sure we have all browns or possibly one silver ????

We will of course post some pictures in a few days time when mommy cat is happy to let me touch them :)

Tacha is a lovely white siberian with a small black patch of hair that will grow out & she will become solid white, ready to leave home december 1st .........

Tinsy is a lovely cream & white boy who loves to cuddle alot & ready to leave home 20th December as he is a little younger

Slava is finally home with us, it has been a very very very long wait & we are so happy the long journey has ended bow. It is very stressful importing cats from the very beginning right until they come home. She is everything & more we dreamed of, such a big big girl.
We hope to get some piccies out this week for you guys who would like to see her

I knew the moment he was born, I thought he was special. But i kept in my head it cant happen......................................not to me it cant happen can it?

So I watched & thought & watched & talked to other breeders who also told me it is possible ...............

This was Harmionas last litter we are very very sorry as Harmiona is our foundation girl from Poland. She had a difficult delivery after several hours we decided to take her to the vets to have a c section & this saved both the kittens & Harmionas life. This is the first ever c section in 5 years so we are very proud of that fact & that everyone has survived. We will keeping Tatiana here for observation to take over mommys place :)

We finally managed to get some more pictures of our new lovely boy Mihailo he is just a lovely boy every way round such a little teddy bear. He is just getting to know the liccle babies we have who are 4 weeks old & we love how gentle he is with them, we think he is going to make a fab daddy when the time comes.

Today saw the birth of 6 lovely babies three soliod white & two high white with brown & one high white torbie. This is Elisas last litter for a year now she will be having some time off to chill out, we will be keeping one of the babies to stay with us especially if one of the whites is a girl, if not the torbie could be staying :)

Wer have collected our new boy here @ Katyenka & it is so nice for once to be able to get a young kitten. All of our cats have been imported unless we have bred them ourselves so we never get this chance to watch them grow at home except pictures from the breeders. I am of course not complaining as it is better then having to do quarantine which I would never do. We have had other colours so we fancied a nice traditional forest boy for a change. His pedigree is just FAB & we are excited to show Mihailo & look forward to kittens in the future. So without further adue I introduce this handsome young man ....................

Busy Busy Busy !

We may be missing in action over the next couple of weeks as its proving to be a very very busy time ahead for us. My eldest daughter is turning 15 tomorrow so we have some fun days out planned for the family. We are also moving home into our new house & we have the cat houses to get built up again as this is first priority (of course ) to anything we need to do to the house :) it will be so nice to see them stretching out enjoying the sun again so soon. My boys especilly like their own rooms & space or they get moody & grouchy with the others, not all the time but it sure does build up to a few hours of grumpy cats when they get going.

We also have to arrange the special arrival of two very special cats Slava who is coming from Russia, this is very exciting we can not wait to meet her she is so big & so much like her father (here they are )

& our secret new boy who we will announce very shortly, he is a handsome fella.We have had one litter just born & one more litter in 26 days time so we will be busy with babies all over again just how I like it lol We do hope to get to some more shows in the next few months as well we would like to get Brutus & Imir out on the show bench again then Slava & our new boy sheesh that is going to keep me very busy indeed.

Yesterday saw the birth of the silvers, Precious gave birth to five healthy babies & they are all doing very well. Mommy delivered very easily & quietly & handled it very very well. She is now resting & taking care of her precious bundle of joys. We think we have two boys & three girls, one classic & the rest tabbys. We were going to call this the world cup babies but seeming we have now left the world cup we think it will continue as we were.

Pavlo is our handsome red boy who is still looking ofr his forever home. He is a very very loving boy who just loves nothing more then a loving gentle lap to sit on while he purrs away contently. Of course he does love his play time as well. He will be ready to take home in just 2 weeks time the 5th July.

We are so excited to have the great news that Slava is coming home to us, it is always an exciting time for breeders when they wait so long for a new baby to come join them & after the long wait of nearly a year finally we will get to meet our new Russian Princess in less then a few days. We recieved some new pictures of her by her breeder mommy Elena who we can not thank enough for her patience & guidence during this lengthy process.

It is always hard to find breeders who have the time & space to be able to help breeders in the UK.

So without further adue here is our new baby girl Slava ........................

We are really really excited to announce our new girl on the block Dramatica our little black girl.. Again we are very excited about this pedigree & we are very very pleased we are getting more Rembo lines again. We will be traveling to Norway to collect her & finally meet with Siv her mommy & be able to see our little girl Efrem again. I think this has to be of the many great pleasures you get from breeding , meeting other fantatic breeders around the world.
We are also hoping to see the Northern lights & the fantastic Ice Hotel ......................

We are wanting traditional forest colours brown/black in any tabby pattern spotted or classic pattern.
We are trying to find something a little different to what we have already !

We have two kitties left for sale right now .................

Firstly is our little mischief girl Olena she is cuta as a button & full of naughtyness to boot we just love her naughty behaviour everything you should expect with a sibi kitten she is a tri colour black with brown & white, she is ready to leave home from 2nd June ............................

The second kitty is our younger baby & would be available until the first week in july, he is a lovely light silver red boy by no means he is going to look like a ginger tom cat we are hoping his special mommy & daddy will come along soon.
