The N litter

After all the excitement of our new litter & christams time we have finally managed to get some pictures of the new litter. Precious is being exceptional mommy as normal & the babies are doing great, so good in fact their weights are fab & they are so chunky. We can not sell the last remining kitten from this litter yet as they are booked for breeding so until we see them develop a little more we wont know which boy witll be staying or going but we should be able to advertise him in around 4 weeks time. The babies are 2 weeks tomorrow & already we are starting to see them interact with us & try to play they are a very strong litter who were holding their heads up on their own at a day old & walking without a woblle at 4 days old. We were really excited as we had a classic baby boy in the litter as this is what coat type we are wanting to breed more of. Anyway here are the love bugs first pictures .......................

Our Christmas Litter

The Christmas litter isborn we are very very happy indeed Precious gave birth to 3 silver & black eating machines. It looks like we have two boys & 1 girl two are booked so that only leaves us with one to spare & as that is a boy we wont be keeping him we have enough boys here. We think we have two spotted & one classic but we will know for sure in a few days as mommy is being really protective & wont let me do too much with them at the moment. So a big congratulations to daddy Brutus well done son.

Adagio baby is born

Finally the very special baby from the Russian Cattery Adagio s born she is very very little at the moment so we dont have any pictures just yet but she is the second to last female we will be importing for a long time now. We have taken a very long time to make sure we have the right female as we want the classic or marble pattern coat type females @ Katyenka & our third precious Russian princess is just that. We have our eyes set on one more female to import here in the UK but she is only a twinkle in her mommy's eyes & will hopefully be born early to middle next year. She will of course be the last female for a long long time.

Leaving home

The last few days have been busy with our M litter leaving home & the run up to christmas. It has been fun indeed putting up the decorations & tree with a litter of 6 kittens around they have been finding it very interesting all the shiny tinsel to attack & balls to hunt but best of all a new tree to climb. We have only the three babies at home until Saturday when another baby leaves then little buttons leaves, with Misha leaving for Switzerland end of January.
The boys have now settled in their new accommodation finally............
Last but not least 2 days until the countdown begins for Precious, she is very very big indeed so we are expecting at least 3-4 babies if not more. Harmony we are still not sure so she attends her anti natel scan tomorrow just to check on her as her last pregnancy did not materialise :(
So its going to be a very very busy xmas for us indeed with one or two new litters, what a fabulous xmas pressie indeed :)

Boys Accomodation

Today the boys accommodation arrived we have always had the policy where all oour cats run together but since we have more then we normally have, we decided it was time for the boys to have thier own rooms. Luka & Imir have gone in together for now & Brutus is on his own for now so we have one room left for when King Sheraz arrives. This leaves the big room for the girls when they have babies. We are going to divide the room so we can have three girls either sperate or running together as not all our girls along nicely. This will be the first kitten room until the babies are old enough to tear about the house like the litter we have at the moment. We needed more room as we have some great cats now & two more arriving so the next couple of years we will spending time with our own combinations different mixing & matching instead of importing all the time. We have been breeding for nearly 5 years now & feel it is time to work with out own lines so we will be keeping a few babies next year to work with. We feel the time is right we have enough room.

The kittens

Well the babies leave home in about 3 weeks time but we are not sad because we have another 2 litters due any day now. Lots of babies for xmas this year so exciting. We will be keeping one of the babies until late January before she flies out to Switzerland. The pictures were taken not long after they had their bath so their coats look like little scraggy bags lol ............. so here are the crazy bunch.

Luka !

We thought it high time we updated some pictures on our home bred boy Luka, because we see him every day its not always easy to spot how well they are developing or how amazing they are turning out so when I took some pictures of him & his profile I was really impressed with what I saw. Luka is a very hefty type & superb profile we are really excited to get him back on the show bench in January along with Brutus as they are the same colour & Luka is soon to be classed as an adult they will of course be competing which will be nerve wracking in a way lol . Luka has brilliant personality for a male just what you want he is kind gentle & loving very effectionate even with the little babies & always talking to us.

Catching up

Its been a very very busy time here @ Katyenka we have moved house so we could have a bigger cattery we have our litter getting ready to fly the nest & of course we have two females who are expecting babies in December with our new boy Brutus, this is of course delighful news as one of our girls Harmony has not had any babies for over a year.

We are also in negotiation in securing our last male, he is golden & classic & his pedigree is a very good one & we are very lucky if we are able to secure this boy, we will of course updaye you all when we have some exciting news..................

The new kittens are gettting so big & enjoying all the new room they have to run about & plenty of stairs to keep them entertained..................

We are waiting for our new cattery to arrive for the boys we have some work to do in the garden to make it secure & flat for the new building to be erected. It is a 9ft x 9ft 3 seperate runs for the boys so they have plenty of room outside to chill out & play. We have decided the boys should be outside for their coats for the shows. The whole buidling is covered so they can stay dry which is very very important.
Once the boys are out in their new accomodation we will be adapting the spare room as a girls room this will be the kittening room so the mums have thier own space to move about & when the kittens are big enough & fully litter trained then they can be moved downstairs with the rest of the family.

We were hoping to be able to go to the Siberian special show in Rugby this year but I dont think its going to be achievable I have not long got home from hospital & with new babies due we think this is going to be too much for us, such a shame.

Rossity Slava

We have had an update on our second Russian princess Slava & we are so excited to be receiving such a special little girl here in our home. Slava is the first classic tabby in our cattery & we are in negotiation about securing our classic male so fingers crossed we will be producing some lovely classic kittens late next year. New Babies soon !

We are so excited to say that we are expecting some very special babies to come along. The proud parents to be are Precious & Brutus. They just got along so well she fell for his charms instantly. I mean who is to blame her he is sweet natured talkative & very very handsome plus he is a very gentle boy who took her gifts while he romanced her, bless him.

Then we are very lucky to say we should be expecting our final litter from Harmony she is now romancing Brutus as well. We have been waiting for over a year now to mate Harmony as we knew it was time for her to settle down & enjoy her life with us as a much loved pet so we will of course be keeping on of this litter to carry on her lines, we do of course have her daughter Elisa but we are maybe hoping for one more tortie girl just like her mommy. Harmony is our foundation girl so we are sad it is that time for her as she is the best mommy cat we have ever had

Litter M

Litter M is now 4 weeks old & gettign really big, it seems once they get to the eating meat stage the time goes really quickly. Theese babies are just amazing so big & chunky.

Exciting news

We are so excited to announce the upcoming litter of Precious & Brutus they have been making sweet love the last couple of days so it will be our Litter M leave home 17th December then the silver litter will be born YAY we are very excited about meeting the little ones we hope we have more then 1 this time as we have them reserved by two breeders one in the USA & 1 in the UK but I am not surprised Brutus & precious are a handsome couple both big cats with Brutus being 8 kilos of man cat.

The babies are now 3 weeks old & have all found their voices when they hear us enter the roomthey all wake up & scream & scream it is so funny. The babies are also letting meknow they are nearly ready to start feeding so we are going to introduce them to solid foods at the weekend, mmm yummy rabbit & white fish. Brutus is being a typical boy & has decided to make my whole house smell I am so glad we are moving in 3 weeks so the boys will have the outside to do as they please so to say. He is so heavy & his coat is fabulous. He is so loving & gentle & just wants to be firends with everyone he meets.

I simply can not wait to get him on the show bench his first show will be the siberian special in December :)

2 weeks old Litter M

Today the babies are 2 weeks old & reallly are beginning to make some noise & have some fun. Mommy is starting to take some littlebreaks & wounder around , until she heres a cry then she is of again.......................The babies all got names as well
